1941.3.8: TORNATOR. Left Liinahammari, Petsamo opening new Finland - Far East line via Panama canal to Yokohama. The ship was loaded with 1700 tons of Swedish general cargo (steel) and 4475 tons of Finnish cellulose and arrived at Yokohama 27th May. Because of the war continued trading between Japan and China, timechartered by Yamashita Kisen K.K. Kobe.
1942.1.26: TORNATOR, enroute China to Japan with salt cargo grounded at Omaisaki between Nagoya and Yokohama. The crew were rescued by local fishermen. The ship broke in two on January 30.
